Quinapril

It is ACE inbibitor used for hypertension.

Indications

Hypertension, Heart failure.

Dosage

Oral; 10-80 mg.

Contra-Indications

Pregnancy, Impaired renal and liver function, Patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatment with an ACE inhibitor, Hypersensitivity to quinapril.

Special Precautions

Paediatric: Safety not established. Pregnancy: Category D; risk to fetus. Lactation: Use with caution, secreted in milk. Elderly: Safety not established.

Side Effects

Dizziness, cough, vomiting, upset stomach, neutropenia, angioedema and fatigue.

Drug Interactions

Diuretics, Tetracycline, Selective Cox-2 inhibitors, Lithium and anticoagulants.
