Sensodyne Brings Pronamel to India: A New Shield Against Enamel Wear
If you enjoy your morning tea, afternoon coffee, a spicy pickle or a chilled soft drink, here’s something you should know—your teeth might be paying the price quietly. Sensodyne, one of India’s most trusted oral care brands, has launched Pronamel in India, a globally acclaimed toothpaste specially created to strengthen and protect tooth enamel, the hard outer shield that keeps your teeth safe.
Enamel wear is a problem almost everyone is at risk of, but very few actually know about it. Studies show that nearly 95% of Indians are vulnerable to enamel erosion, yet only 8% are awarethat it’s happening. Our daily diet—citrus fruits, carbonated drinks, pickles, tea and coffee—slowly weakens enamel over time. Once this enamel starts wearing down, people often begin to face issues like sensitivity, yellowing of teeth and even cavities. And the biggest concern? Enamel cannot naturally repair itself once damaged.
With Pronamel’s launch, Sensodyne is expanding its oral care portfolio to shine a spotlight on this widely neglected issue. The product is part of Haleon’s larger mission to make proactive oral care a habit in India, helping people protect their teeth before problems begin.
Talking about the launch, Kishlay Seth, Category Lead – Oral Health, Haleon India Subcontinent, explained that enamel is nature’s protective shield for healthy teeth, but today’s lifestyle is putting it under constant attack.
He shared how years of consuming acidic foods and beverages weaken enamel slowly and silently. “Once demineralized, it cannot regenerate naturally,” he said, adding that the damage is often noticed only when it’s already too late.
Pronamel, he noted, is backed by over 20 years of scientific research and offers two times stronger enamel protection from everyday acid wear. The brand hopes that with this launch, people will understand the urgency of protecting enamel before it wears away.
To build awareness, Pronamel has also rolled out an extensive nationwide campaign across TV, print, digital platforms, outdoor media and social media. The goal is simple—help consumers understand what enamel wear is, how everyday habits contribute to it and how proactive care can safeguard long-term oral health.
With Pronamel now available in India, Sensodyne hopes to give people not just a toothpaste, but a smarter, science-backed way to protect their smiles for years to come.
